Mauricio Pochettino's full press conference against london derby team Fulham.

Mauricio Pochettino's Full Pre-Fulham Press Conference:

Mauricio Pochettino: "Bad news [on Chilwell]. The doctor told me is it is a bad injury, but we need to assess in the next few days. It's difficult to know. We need to assess in the next few days. The club will communicate."

Mauricio Pochettino: "Maybe Chukwuemeka and Noni Madueke will be available for selection on Monday. Reece James maybe the week after."

Mauricio Pochettino: "It was a very important victory [against Brighton]. The effort was fantastic and now this can make us stronger and be confident for Monday."

Mauricio Pochettino on not playing with a striker: "The most important thing is to adapt, the squad needs to find a way to perform, that is the most important [thing]. We can play with one striker or maybe we can play without a striker. I think it is still a few days and I need to see and assess the squad about this situation."

Mauricio Pochettino: "The relationship and the communication is very good with the owners and the sporting directors. Now we need to work on recovering Christopher Nkunku and Armando Broja, but also identify how to improve the team [in January]."

Mauricio Pochettino: "I'm so happy with Cole Palmer's performance. After only a few weeks with us he was able to perform very well. For sure he has a possibility to start on Monday."

Mauricio Pochettino on Nicolas Jacksons fifth yellow card: "We talk a lot between the players and us, the coaching staff. It's things you cannot stop. He is very anxious to score and do well, so sometimes you forget things. He is growing. Now we are going to miss him on Monday but after the goal he scored against Brighton, I hope his confidence will be better."

Mauricio Pochettino on Reece James and Ben Chilwell both missing: "In all the clubs, important players you always miss when they don't play. Of course, we always miss top players. When they are at their best, of course they are some of the bests in the world. All of the team, we miss some important players. There's only one Reece James and one Ben Chilwell. The club tried with Malo Gusto, Marc Cucurella and Levi can play there."

Mauricio Pochettino: "I don't know what is going to happen [between Reece James and the FA], I hope he can be involved with the team as soon as possible. I didn't see the incident."

Mauricio Pochettino speaking more on Ben Chilwell's injury: "Yes [it's the same leg as last season]. I think so. It's the mechanism of the action. He was a little bit unlucky in the way he suffered the injury. It's very sad because he was doing a very good game."

Mauricio Pochettino speaking more on Ben Chilwell's injury: "Yes [it's the same leg as last season]. I think so. It's the mechanism of the action. He was a little bit unlucky in the way he suffered the injury. It's very sad because he was doing a very good game."

Pochettino: “I think like I told before, when the transfer window was closed, I need to be involved, more involved now, in every single decision. I think we need to start identifying what we need for January.”

Mauricio Pochettino has spoken to Noni Madueke about his behavior after the winger was filmed at a party whilst he was injured:

“It wasn’t a big issue but also we need to avoid this type of situation and I think it’s really clear that he needs to avoid [it].”

“I think it’s a thing that young players need to improve; not only him, but many, many players about what it means to be professional, and what it means to have respect because of the badge we have here.”

Pochettino says he has been carrying a knock from international duty being the reason he was left out.

Poch on Cucurella: “I think he was really good against Brighton on Wednesday, playing on the right side. I think he was doing well and I’m so happy with his performance that is what we expect from our players.”

Pochettino on who he would compare Mudryk with: “He’s quite unique. To be honest I cannot find one to say he is similar. Now I cannot remember another similar, he’s quite unique.”

Pochettino Asked about the 22-year-old Mudryk performance, Pochettino insisted that it was not just Mudryk that had such issues: "It’s not only Mischa, but also many players that arrive [...] the level of these guys, because they are so young, changes.

"Big change from where they come and also it’s not about arriving and performing when you are young, it’s about adapting, helping them to settle. And then the most difficult thing is to understand what they need to settle and to feel comfortable and to express their talent.

"If you ask me about Mischa, he’s a very talented player, of course – you need to go with him very slowly. [The] culture and everything is completely different to our Latin people, and our Latin people from a different country or part of the world.

"But I think he’s now trying to be more open and trying to adapt and to be more involved in every single situation, not only on the field but outside also.

"The process that he is doing, he is doing a massive effort to try to integrate himself and to understand better what it means to play in a team. But of course, he’s young and for sure he is going to improve, and we are so happy with the way that he’s improving.
