Chelsea are on advanced talks to sign both Xavi Simons and Jorrel Hato and are not interested signing Isak from Newcastle.

According to Fabrizio Romano Chelsea have now made official club to club contact with Ajax to sign  Jorrel Hato as next top priority! Hato, understood to be keen on the move and already have reached agreement on personal terms with Chelsea and the defender has asked Ajax to leave. Negotiations ongoing with very good relationship between clubs.

Chelsea target Jorrel Hato has been left out of the Ajax squad to face Celtic tonight in the Como Cup. He is in Italy with his teammates for the pre-season tournament, but he will not feature.

Chelsea value Ajax defender Jorrel Hato at around €40m (£35m). Benchmark is the £34m plus £4.5m Arsenal paid Ajax for Jurien Timber.

Ajax's pre-window valuation expected to drop, even though Hato is contracted until 2028.  Jorell Hato is wanted by several clubs but he would be very keen to join Chelsea. Ajax had originally asked for £50m+, but Chelsea are optimistic of getting a deal for less.

Jorrel Hato's agent, Humphry Nijman: "Yes, the club has reported to Ajax. All I can say is that Jorrel is now talking to Chelsea.

According to Sky sports Chelsea are ready to pay €50M for Jorrel Hato, but Ajax are holding out for around €60M. He is a player Chelsea admire as he has quickly developed into one of the best young defenders in the world. although fabrizio said Negotiations are advancing to final stages, as fee discussed now is around €40m.

also Chelsea and Xavi Simons are getting closer, and a verbal agreement is near! Talks also took place with Leipzig yesterday, with more scheduled for today. They are waiting for an offer.

Xavi Simons is more than tempted by the Chelsea project and keen on a move to Chelsea. Simons has always dreamed of a move to Chelsea, Football London understands. Simons was believed to be an avid follower of Chelsea growing up, and even had a trial at Cobham growing up.

According to Telegraph football  Sources are confident Chelsea can strike a deal to sign Simons, but they also retain interest in Alejandro Garnacho and Morgan Rogers. A deal for RB Leipzig star Simons, who wants to join Chelsea and is valued at around £60m, is dependent on at least one sale being agreed but that should not be an issue with Nkunku now a wanted man.

Chelsea will offset their spending with over £200m in sales. Bayern Munich, Nottingham Forest, Newcastle United and clubs in Italy have all registered an interest in Nkunku.

Carney Chukwuemeka is one of at least three players Leipzig have asked about signing and the midfielder also has interest from the Premier League, with Chelsea wanting to sell him permanently. One boardroom source told Telegraph Sport: “The top four are pulling away. Look at what they are doing in comparison to the rest of the League.”

According to sources Chelsea not actively working on Alexander Isak deal and no interest in proceeding despite reports. Chelsea very happy with their strikers and fully focused on Xavi Simons and Jorrel Hato deals now. Chelsea’s current owners have a zero tolerance policy to the club’s name being linked to players they are not pursuing. Chelsea have complete faith in the strikers they have in their squad.
